To improve the quality of life in our communities through financial contributions, in-kind donations and volunteerism.

Philosophy

We believe we make the greatest impact in our communities when we support issues and causes that are important to our customers, our associates and the neighborhoods in which we do business.

Implementation

We combine both financial and volunteer support. We encourage our employees to be involved in their local communities and support programs that make a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Priorities

Advance Financial’s community support efforts focus on key areas that benefit our customers, employees and neighborhoods. This does not mean that we would not consider support for other concerns, but sponsorship for them is limited. Before seeking sponsorship or underwriting support, please be sure your mission or goal is consistent with one or more of our priorities:

• Financial literacy — helping people gain a better understanding of money issues and increasing their focus on savings
• Basic needs like food, shelter, disaster aid and building strong, safe neighborhoods
• Community and cultural activities
• Assimilation support for immigrants
• Literacy/continuing education

Advance Financial does not consider requests from:

• Individuals, including scholarship or fellowship assistance
• For-profit entities, including start-up small businesses
• Religious organizations unless activities benefit our entire community
• Organizations requesting funds to cover operating deficits
• Charities based outside our service area unless they have initiatives that specifically benefit our community
• Clubs/organizations of a strictly social (vs. charitable) nature

Basic Qualifications

Agencies interested in receiving support from Advance Financial must provide the following information:

• Completed application
• Overview of specific request and project budget
• Board of Directors and officers list
• Federal IRS tax exception certificate indicating 501(c)(3) status
